Betterpen Futonwerk & Neonatura

This is not a pen.

No matter how carefully we handle our precious raw materials, there are still scraps, offcuts, and flawed pieces. Recycling these sensibly isn't easy; some go to kindergartens or craft groups, but over time, all local dolls are made, all the pillows are stuffed, and patchwork blankets are quilted. So we looked for and found a new way to use our textile leftovers more sensibly than disposing of them at great expense.

Our solution: We dispose them at you, the customer.

And to create added value for you too – because sustainability requires more than just disposal – we make ballpoint pens out of them, which we also include with our futons and mattresses, depending on availability.

How textile scraps are turned into ballpoint pens... with natural resin and the company manaomea, which produces this pretty solution with its patented process.

Peel the rubber dot off the tip and your new pen is ready to go.

Yes, it's all our fabric scraps plus natural resin. Beautiful, isn't it?
